We are delighted to have been finalists in two categories in this year’s CIPD awards in partnership with the Heathrow Airport Engineering team. Our work with the team was designed to boost engagement and to elevate performance in support of the broader ambitions of the airport.
The results have been exceptional with increases in efficiency, productivity and engagement. Engineering are an efficient and highly effective team ready to play a critical role in the ongoing success of one of the world’s busiest airports.

Best Change Management Initiative
An impressive change programme that has completely changed the engineer workforce culture. The initiative was consultancy-led with guidance from the HR function. Evidence that the initiative is a beacon for the rest of the organisation as it progresses through its change programme. Great use of employee pledges in really driving home belief and commitment to the change.
Best Employee Engagement Category
This entry did an excellent job of setting out the ‘why’ behind their employee engagement programme and brought to life the challenges that Heathrow Airport Engineering had faced with their culture.
There was a clear focus on outcomes and demonstrating an evidence base to support the change. They articulated a sustained change in performance thinking and implementation which felt very authentic, It was brought to life by hearing from the two engineers and we could feel the understandable pride in their achievements.
